Modern software is bloated. Simple utilities now require account creation, cookies, trackers, and multi-step onboarding flows. They sell user data to fund bloated teams. We need to return to the principles of radical simplicity and local-first architecture.
A tool should serve its user, not exploit them. Whether it is tracking a cycle (like Periodly) or interpolating color math (like Colurt), software should be lightweight, blazing fast, run locally, and protect privacy by default. Build products that respect the user's attention and data.
