Majority Wins: The Network Effect

If there are 99 dumbs and 1 intelligent, the intelligent one will be considered dumb. Your network environment matters.
If there are 99 dumbs and 1 intelligent, the intelligent one will be considered dumb. Your network environment matters.

There is a fundamental philosophy about environments: Majority Wins. If you place 1 intelligent person in a room with 99 foolish people, the intelligent person's ideas will be dismissed, and they will be perceived as the foolish one. Conversely, if 1 foolish person enters a room of 99 intelligent minds, the sheer environment will elevate them or clearly distinguish the standard of intelligence.

This is why your network environment matters immensely. If you are surrounded by people who think 120 lines of code is a massive project, your own scale will shrink to match theirs. You must curate an environment where your baseline is their impossible standard.
